Problem

Cab avoidance function may not activate on the machines listed above. Cab avoidance may deactivate, allowing cab contact from bucket/work tool narrower than 0.8 m (2.6 ft).

Change bucket width threshold for Cab Avoidance activation. Refer to "Method to Change Bucket Width Threshold for Cab Avoidance" for proper method to eliminate bucket width threshold for Cab Avoidance activation.

Method to Change Bucket Width Threshold for Cab Avoidance

  1. Using Application Menu, select "Bucket/Work Tool Setting".

  2. Select "Tool".

  3. Select "Tool Dimension".

  4. Manually update bucket width to 0.8 m (2.6 ft) or greater.

  5. Verify that cab avoidance remains activated and work tool will not contact cab.

    Note: When the bucket width is overridden to 0.8 m (2.6 ft) or greater, to maintain grade control accuracy , only select the center focus point for grade control.
