Oil from the gear motor (hydraulic fan) (5) enters the cooler system at hose (7). Oil flows from hose (2) through the return filter and into the hydraulic tank. Bypass valve (3) will open when the oil flow becomes too restrictive. Bypass valve (3) will direct oil around the cooler to hose (2).

Temperature sensor (6) sends a voltage signal to the engine Electronic Control Module (ECM). The engine ECM calculates the oil temperature by comparing the voltage signal to a predetermined set of values.

(11) Coolant temperature sensor

The engine coolant temperature sensor (11) sends a signal to the engine ECM in order to control the speed of the hydraulic fan.

(12) Fan speed solenoid

The inlet air temperature sensor (10) sends a signal to the engine ECM in order to control the speed of the hydraulic fan. The fan speed solenoid (12) controls the displacement of the braking and the hydraulic fan pump. The fan speed solenoid (12) receives a signal from the engine ECM.
