September 2002 PROPERLY TAGGING REMAN WARRANTY CLAIM PARTS/CORES The "blue" Parts Return Tag (01-003883-13) is required to be used by all dealers to identify removed Reman warranty claim parts/cores. These tags are also attached for the purpose of easily identifying parts that are requested through the Parts Return Request Notification process. The tags should be completed using a waterproof ink marker to prevent blurring should the tags get wet. ALL REMAN WARRANTY PARTS/CORES SHOULD HAVE THIS BLUE TAG ATTACHED TO THE PART WHETHER OR NOT THE PART IS REQUESTED THROUGH THE PARTS RETURN REQUEST NOTIFIAVSION PROCESS. PLEASE ATTACH THE TAG TO THE PART AND NOT TO THE CASE! We need all dealers to cooperate by following this procedure. Unfortunately, many warranty cores that are being returned to Corinth do not have this blue parts return tag attached to the part/core. As a result it is becoming increasing difficult to accurately identify warranty cores returned for credit. This impacts the timeliness and the core credit amount that the dealer could be credited. So, it is extremely important and to the dealers benefit to follow this procedure. Furthermore, when parts/cores are not tagged properly, it negatively impacts our quality control efforts. This is a serious issue and has caused us to evaluate the merits of applying an add charge for improperly identified cores. So we are very serious about compliance. Of course, we thank all of the dealers that are doing the job correctly and appreciate your continued effort to help us produce a better Reman product. We appreciate everyone's cooperation. Core Management Please refer to the AVSpare? Core Management Information System (CMIS 2) Parts Information application describing all reman part/CAF and related information. Also refer to other CMIS 2 inquiry applications such as Customer Profiles, Inspection Reason Codes, Inspection Line Inquiry, Add Charge Information, Entitlement Activity, Entitlement Inquiry, CCR Inquiry, CCR Entry, Shipment Processing; Process Packaging Grief; and Reporting to properly manage core returns and monitor inspection performance. This information will be available to all dealers worldwide after your CMIS 2 conversion date. In the meantime, please continue to use the current CMIS Entitlement Parts Inquiry Screen describing the list of parts in a Core Acceptability Family (CAF) and related part number detail.
