    Typical example

  2. Ensure that the bore in inlet air control assembly (6) for exhaust gas valve (4) is clean and free from damage. If necessary, replace the inlet air control assembly.

  3. If the original exhaust gas valve (4) is to be installed, ensure that the sealing surfaces are clean and free from damage.

  4. Install a new O-ring seal (7) to the exhaust gas valve (4).

  5. Lightly lubricate the surfaces of exhaust gas valve (4) with clean engine oil.

  6. Install the exhaust gas valve (4) to the inlet air control assembly (6).

  7. Install Allen head bolts (5) to exhaust gas valve (4). Tighten Allen head bolts to a torque of 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  8. Slide the connection for harness assembly (1) onto bracket (3). Connect harness assembly (1). Slide locking tab (2) into the locked position.

End By:

  1. If necessary, install the clean emissions module. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Clean Emissions Module - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.
